Oh my goodness. I just got offered to shoot my first wedding in April. I am beyond ecstatic and I want to do this more than anything, but I have a water polo game on the same day. I asked my coach if I could miss it just this once because this is my chance to finally expand my horizons with photography, but she said she’s not okay with it. I understand my commitment to my team and what I’m saying if I dip out to do something else (and something fun at that), but I care about photography infinitely more than water polo and it’s so much more rewarding to me. Plus it’ll be my first paid shoot! I’ve only ever done shoots for fun or as a favor to friends. I’m so thankful I’ve been given this opportunity, but I honestly don’t know what to do. My obligations and responsibilities keep me at the game but my passion for what I love to do pulls me to the wedding. ): Here’s to hoping for the best. What happens, happens.
